Hello, October!

September came and went in the blink of an eye. I still can’t believe it’s already October — and somehow, we’re nearing the end of 2025.

It’s a little surreal how quickly the months have flown by. The days have stacked into weeks, and the weeks into seasons — all leading us here, to the golden doorstep of autumn.

There were times when September felt like it was dragging, despite a full calendar and a busy schedule. Or perhaps because of the quiet, persistent weight of waiting for something to shift, something to happen. And truly, there’s nothing quite as exhausting as waiting — not actively moving, just sitting in that in-between space where nothing is certain.

September also delivered its share of unwelcome news — moments that reminded me how life can tilt unexpectedly, how even a golden month can carry shadows.

There was, of course, good news and events to celebrate. Joy doesn’t disappear just because sorrow shows up — they tend to arrive together more often than we expect. And maybe that’s part of what made September feel so full. It held everything: the waiting, the weariness, the small victories, and the quiet griefs.

And still, here we are ... welcoming October with open hearts and minds.

October is when the trees start changing colors, the air turns crisp, and we begin to pull out our layers — sweaters, scarves, warm socks, and fall/winter boots. It’s the season where the sun still shines, but the breeze carries a bite. The shift from summer into fall becomes undeniable. The nights grow longer, and the leaves begin to fall in golden, rust-colored waves.

And of course, we have something to look forward to this month — trick-or-treats!

There’s an unmistakable excitement in the air as Halloween approaches. Children are already picking out their costumes, neighborhoods begin to decorate, and pumpkins start appearing on porches and windowsills. Whether you love the thrill of a scary movie, the fun of dressing up, or the comfort of handing out candy from your doorstep, October brings with it a playful kind of magic.

It’s a month that invites us to slow down and lean into both comfort and celebration — to embrace the cozy and the spooky, the soft and the spirited.

So here’s to October —
To hot drinks, crunchy leaves, and glowing jack-o’-lanterns.
To the beauty of change and the joy of tradition.
To quiet mornings, festive nights, and everything in between.

🍂 October, we welcome you with hopeful hearts.
